Korean anyone?

Today the Korean PTS server will get version 2.0 of Aion. More like an expansion pack, if you ask me, not really a version or a patch.

The notes / changes are already published, but in Korean! I *so* want to read them, but I was taught a totally_not_useful foreign language at school.

I am sure this passage mentions what items will be valuable!

I spent all academic years from 5y.o. to 16y.o. learning the not-useful language. This is 11 years, 9 months each. Let's say 4 hours courses and 4 hours studying each week. That's 99 months x 4 weeks/month x 8 hours/week. That's 3,168 hours invested but never liquidated. 3,168 of my game time! Give me back my game time!

 

'Impossible' only needs 3 minutes (in Draupnir Cave)

Some weeks ago, I thought that I would never get a decent weapon - not for the next few months or next few patches at least. My goal, the 'impossible' miragent one, was light years away.

A week ago, I realised that the platinum-coins weapon, and the crafted weapon, are also good. My dream suddenly became 'feasible-but-distant'. Many million kinahs distant.

Few days ago they told me about the boss in Draupnir Cave (Commander Bakarma), that drops 50s golden weapons.  I could almost savor the aroma of the fight, although it would be extremely hard for me to try - since the boss is at the end of the cave, many many mobs away, it would take us 4 hours at least, and I always have a restriction on my game time.

Yesterday the impish Norwegian friend demonstrated how it is possible to traverse the cave in 3 minutes (demonstration). Three! Just run and glide - and you arrive at the boss. Unbelievable!

We all think that our gear is crap, however it seems that sometimes this is true.

Very true. About +5.2% true!

My shield has a +3.4% enmity boost - which makes it suitable for tanks. Being a healer, I should go for minus on enmity, e.g. -1.8%. Total = 3.4 + 1.8 = 5.2. I am 5.2% off, and I was told so by a guy I met yesterday - so embarrassing!

On the plus side, the new guy is really nice. British, with strong british accent (which is funny), a bit older (arent we all) and an excellent sense of humor. Legionmate of my norwegian friend who I totally adore!

These two wonderful gentlemen suggested we go after a named mob that drops a decent shield for me. We didnt find the mob (it figures), but we did have an excellent time on vent at 05:00am.

50 lvl Elyos at last!!

It's already a month, that I reached lvl 50. Hypothetically speaking, I could have by now all my advanced stigmas and a miragent semi-complete set.

Well I dont.

Have you tried doing all those quests? Here is a short guide on what you should be doing the moment you ding 50! Note: Elyos side.



1. Finish all your previous campaign quests you might have left from lvl 49. Only then you will be able to get your new ones.

2. Dont worry about exp, start worrying about money! You will soon need many million kinah.

3. Add a stigma. The 5th position is now open.

4. Go to Sanctum, get quests:

-  Campaign A Past Mission from Lavirintos. It's the start of the miragent quest chain.

- A Secret Summons from Leah. It will allow you to do Door Into Darkness. Finishing Door Into Darkness opens up the road to Dark Poeta. Wait though, dont go just yet.

- Stop the Shulacks! from Sanctum Stigma Master. This will enable the last advanced stigma slot. You will need to enter Dark Poeta for this one.

5. Finish up the (easy!) quests A Past Mission, A Secret Summons, Door Into Darkness. While doing those you will see Pernos: get Sword of Transcendence. Talk to Anusis as soon as you get back to Sanctum..

Continue with 6a, 6b, 6c - the order doesnt matter.

6a. Go to Dark Poeta
- You will need a Time Activation Stone to enter.
- Look for groups saying "drana farm" or "quests" - but dont get into groups saying A/B run.
- Enter Dark Poeta by using the artifact close to the Kishar Outpost (Heiron).
- Collect Drana-forged Steel for Sword of Transcendence.
- Get quest items for Stop the Shulacks! You will probably need to enter DP a second item to finish that.

6b.  Go to Theobomos Lab, get Elements Crystal (drop from boss Unstable Triroan - caution you will need to be alive when he dies in order to get the quest item), for Sword of Transcendence.

6c. Go to Steelrake. As soon as you kill the captain, you will have to talk to a chest to get Fragment of the Shining Tower needed for Sword of Transcendence.

7. Ignore any suicidal tendencies. Try to hold on.
